Are you an experienced manufacturing Cost Accountant who enjoys getting under the skin of a business, understanding what drives its costs and making a difference from day one?
If so, this six-month interim opportunity could be just what you're looking for.
We're working with an established Teesside manufacturing business looking for someone who can bring their experience, take ownership of the costing function and quickly become a trusted member of the finance team.
You'll be working closely with operational colleagues, getting involved in the numbers that really matter to the business, rather than simply producing reports at month-end.
Your responsibilities will include product costing, maintaining standard costs, reviewing bills of materials (BOMs), analysing production variances and contributing to monthly management accounts.
What makes this opportunity interesting?
It's the breadth of the role and the trust placed in you.
You'll have the autonomy to draw on your experience, work closely with the manufacturing teams and provide the financial insight that helps people make better decisions.
There's also an opportunity to bring your wider finance management and leadership experience to the role, supporting a small finance team.
What experience will you need?
You'll have a strong background in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, with the confidence to join a new business and get up to speed quickly.
You might be CIMA or ACCA qualified, or you may have gained your expertise through years of hands-on experience. Either way, it's your practical knowledge that matters.
Above all, you'll be someone who's comfortable taking ownership, building relationships and getting things done.
Interested?
If you're available immediately, or coming to the end of an assignment, we'd welcome a conversation.
And if your CV isn't up to date, don't let that stop you. An initial confidential conversation is absolutely fine.
