This is a genuine line-management role within a large, fast-paced, multi-site business. Youll lead a team of four qualified and part-qualified accountants, taking responsibility for their performance, development and the quality of their output.
The environment moves quickly. Priorities compete, deadlines dont move and the current way of working wont always be the best one. Youll need to keep month-end on track while finding smarter, stronger ways to deliver it.

What will you be doing?

Line-managing, coaching and developing a team of four
-
Setting expectations and holding people accountable for delivery

Overseeing management accounts and balance-sheet reconciliations

Ensuring reporting is accurate, controlled and delivered on time

Identifying and implementing process improvements

Explaining variances and highlighting risks and opportunities

Supporting forecasts and commercial decisions

What are we looking for?
Ideally, youll be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with strong management-accounting experience.
More importantly, youll be an experienced line manager who knows how to improve performance, not simply monitor it. Youll be comfortable managing competing deadlines, challenging existing processes and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
Multi-site experience and knowledge of SunSystems would be useful but arent essential.
