We're recruiting on behalf of an established international business in Billingham that is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a temporary basis.
This role has been created to provide sickness cover and will run initially until the end of August. They're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, support the day-to-day finance function and work confidently across both the purchase and sales ledger.
The business offers flexible start and finish times, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for flexibility alongside a varied finance role.
The Role
- Processing purchase ledger invoices accurately and efficiently
- Raising and issuing sales invoices
- Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
- Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
- Supporting the wider finance team with general transactional accounting duties
- Assisting with ad hoc finance administration as required
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role
- Experience working across both purchase and sales ledger
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and work with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
- Availability to start as soon as possible
