What You'll Do
As Regional Finance Manager for this housing and social care provider, you’ll be responsible for the financial management of five significant contracts worth in the region of £60m.
You’ll act as a finance business partner supporting key executives, non-finance managers and external customers, producing information and analysis, budgets and forecasts for each contract.
You’ll support the Regional Finance Director and gain exposure to plc board Directors. These colleagues are great examples of what can be achieved by finance professionals in this national business.
Your next step is likely to be a Senior Finance Manager role, and although not guaranteed, an opening will be available in around two years with a retirement already planned. There’ll also be opportunities for you to move into more operational roles; Finance Managers have thrived in these types of positions.
What You'll Need
As you’ll be responsible for contracts in several locations, you’ll regularly travel between offices in the North East (Darlington and Newcastle), Cumbria and Hertfordshire.
So you won’t mind driving, and you’ll receive a good specification company car, most likely a Mondeo or Insignia.
Whilst it won’t always be possible to leave your house at nine and expect to be home at five, the company is realistic, understanding, and flexible regarding your travel time.
This also means that no two days are the same, so you’ll relish the freedom this role brings – the responsibility of a Finance Manager without the hassle of managing staff.
